I'm an old guy looking to make bee-keeping a hobby with benefits (a hobby with limited work, the benefit of good and healthy eats, and helping with the environment). I live in central Florida and am surrounded by state woods, farmers fields, and a spring-fed river....will bees be able to survive here?

I have arthritis in my hands, and I have been getting my honey from Crowe's Barber shop. My step-dad had been picking it up for me, until May when we had to put him in Gadsden Healthcare. So now I can not catch Mr. Crowe. Where is the nearest place and the least expensive, that is near me.I live in Glencoe. Thank you.
